Artweek 2009

The School of Performing and Creative Arts will be holding their annual Artweek when Art & Design students celebrate their achievements by displaying their work. The design for this year’s event was produced by Lewis McPherson, a second year student on the BTEC National Diploma in Graphic Design, and is based on a swan. He felt that this image would be entirely appropriate given the college move to Swanswell!

The event will be launched by the Principal, Paul Taylor and Vince Brosnan the Head of Performing & Creative Arts on the evening of Monday 22nd June in the foyer of Swanswell South Centre. The college is looking forward to the occasion as it will be the first to be held at the new site.

artweek 2009Also at the launch and the following day there will be a sale of prints in Student Services to raise money for the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) to commemorate Nick Jarram. The shows will be held over two days, 24th and 25th June, with afternoon performances at 2.30pm followed by the evening performances at 7.30pm.
